"Next to the Word of God, the noble art of music is the greatest treasure in the world." - Martin Luther
Most worship services at Trinity are accompanied by a large pipe organ that was installed in 1996. This beautiful instrument is used to lead God's people in the Liturgy of the Divine Service and other Daily Prayer serives. Trinity is blessed to have a number of talented organists, both on staff and in the congregation.
Trinity will enhance its worship with instrumental music. At times this will include our handbell choir.
Individual instrumentalists also enrich our worship by accompanying other groups (e.g., piano, trumpet) or through solo or group pieces (e.g., string quartet). Individuals who are interested in sharing their instrumental talents are encouraged to contact the church.
Trinity has different voice choirs, that enhance the hearing of God's Word during the Divine Service. These voice choirs range from individuals who sing solos to children's choirs and adult choirs. Vocalists can also share their talents through solos, duets, small group performances and assisting in the leading of liturgical chanting.
At Trinity, music is viewed as an integral part of worship and faith, deeply intertwined with the proclamation of the Gospel. Our Director of Parish Music uses music as a vehicle for teaching and admonishing one another with God's Word. We actively support the ongoing training of future church musicians through opportunities during the week for our young and old as we encourage their musical participation in the life of the congregation.
