Blessed Together
The role of the family is to share the faith with the next generation (Deut. 6:6–12) and to recount His plan of salvation to young and old (Psalm 145:4–7).
God speaks to us through His Word, the Holy Bible. At Trinity we believe God invites us to rest, reflect on His Word, and recive His forgiveness in order to strengthen our faith in Him. This is all done as we focus on the cross where our Savior Jesus, the Christ, died so that we might live with Him here and in eternity. Thus the study of God's Word is of critical importance to every believer. It is through Christian Education that we learn to hold God's Word sacred and gladly hear and learn it.
God gives us the good gift of family and so highly esteems it that He uses it as the primary building block for His kingdom. We are all born into a biological family, but as baptized believers we are also brought into the family of God. All people — whether young or old, single or married, widowed or barren — are placed within a family and entrusted with vocations (Psalm 68:5–6). Trinity Lutheran's desire is to encourage families in the lifelong devotion to catechesis and Christian discipleship.
Parents are entrusted with the ultimate responsibility of teaching the faith and catechizing their children. All other estates and vocations are in service to this holy training ground that is the family.
The Congregation at Prayer suggests daily readings, learn-by-heart Scripture and Catechism verses, a hymn to sing, along with a psalm and prayer to pray. It coordinates with the Church calendar and is used by our entire church so you know you’re not alone.
Wednesdays 5:45pm - Meal Time
6:30pm - God's Word
In the middle of the week it is vital that we refresh ourselves with God's people and His Word. Throughout the year we join together on Wednesdays in order to support one another around the table and grow in God's Word. This is intended for all ages.
"Come and hear all you who fear God and I will tell what he has done for my soul." - Psalm 66:16
